Notts Ladies O70 Team Report

A topsy-turvy season for our ladies team, losing a number of match tie-breaks which could have improved our final position at the season end.

In June we welcomed a very strong Lancashire team and despite a very competitive match we lost 1-3.

Another home game came next against Shropshire which turned into a marathon match, just over four hours in total. The result was a 2-2 draw but two tie-break sets were lost resulting in a win for Shropshire 6 sets to 5.

Our arch-rivals Lincolnshire were the next opponents at Grantham. This was a tough match, a 3-1 loss.

Finally another local team, Leicestershire in an away match at Kirby Muxloe. This time  a 3-1 win, the match was played in a great spirit of friendliness and the outcome proved satifying.

We are now looking forward to the 2025 season in Division 2

The team was the same as 2023: Sue Copestake, Ann Pullan (not shown in photo), Sue Reesby, Jill Shelvey (Captain) and Rosie Watkins.
