Notts Ladies O50 Team Report

Notts Ladies 50’s are delighted to end the season staying in division 1A. It’s been a year of variability in matches, some very tough resulting in team losses, and some team successes too.

The team consisted of Lisa Knowles (Captain), Jackie Thompson, Kathryn Hales and Elaine Masters, Gina Ofield and Kate Crowther.

art to the season beating Gloucestershire 5-0 and Lancashire 4-1.

We travelled to Huddersfield for the Yorkshire Match which proved trickier tennis and unfortunately, we narrowly lost that match 2-3. 

The next two matches were away at Middlesex and away at Cambridgeshire. Middlesex being a very strong side with 2 GB Seniors players, beat us 5-0, and have gone on to win group 1A going through to the playoffs. 

Cambridgeshire fielded a very strong team too for their match against us because they needed to win this one to avoid relegation. Consequently, we lost 5-0 but 3 of our matches were lost in the championship tie break, so only a few points in it.
