Inclusive Tennis at Keyworth Tennis Club

Susan Allan, our Diversity & Inclusion Officer, attended the event on behalf of Notts LTA, and this is what she had to say.

“A fabulous day for all who attended the Inclusive Tennis Session run at Keyworth LTC.

Great work and organisation by Howard and his team as well as Jason from Aebal Leisure and coach Patrick Smith, who together made this day happen.

A range of mixed learning disabilities was represented at the event and activities such as using bean bags, ball machine, catching and rallying were coordinated and played with fun and great enthusiasm.

The sunshine boosted the day and after a good 2 hours of tennis exercise well deserved refreshments and delights such as pizza, lemon drizzle and chocolate brownies were enjoyed.

Tennis does have a role to play in making a difference to people lives.”
